Rare antique lock-back folding dagger c. 1840's, "G. Crookes & Co. Sheffield", marked on single edged 3.5" spear blade. Period antique ivory handles (does have crack on one side), in which is centered a blank name engraving plate. Action works well. Features German silver floral bolster and pommel motif of horse-head with naval anchor over artillery cannons. Folded length 5.25", fully opened measures 9" in length. "G. Crookes" is listed as Sheffield table knife maker, during 1840's is listed as "G. Crookes & Co".
