Rare Blackfeet tribe beaded & painted rawhide sheath with leather straps, would've hung like a satchel. The sheath holds a custom made jaw-bone handle knife, apparently made of a scavenged Civil War foot soldier sword blade tip (2.25" x 6.5"). The knife is bolstered with hand forged nails, wire and leather wrap. Pommel end is decorated with horse hair to resemble a bird. Knife measures 12.5" overall length.
